Summer 2025 Academic Calendar

SDSU offers a twelve week term (T1) and four sessions ranging from four to eight weeks in length (S1-4) to fit your summer schedule.

Summer 2025 Timeline. T1: May 27-August 15; S1: May 27-July 3; S2: July 8-August 15; S3: June 9-July 3; S4: June 23-August 15. All dates in detail on page.

February
February 26 Summer 2025 enrollment appointments available in my.SDSU. Students can begin adding courses to their shopping cart. Review How Do I View My Registration Window? to learn more.
March
March 5 Summer 2025 registration begins.
March 7 Payments of tuition and fees accepted for for all sessions (T1, S1, S2, S3, and S4). Review the How to Pay Tuition and Fees and Other University Charges web page.
May
May 23 T1/S1 - Last day to withdraw from all classes and receive a full refund of tuition and fees.
May 26 Holiday—Memorial Day. Faculty/staff holiday. Campus closed.
May 27 First day of summer term.
May 27 T1/S1 - First day of T1/S1 classes. If a seat becomes available, students on the waitlist will be added automatically.
May 27 T1/S1 - Beginning on the first day of class, a refund for withdrawal will be prorated based on the percentage of the term completed. Courses must be dropped before the first day of classes to be considered for a full refund.
June
June 1 S1 - End of Waitlists. This is the last day a student can remain on the waitlist and be auto-enrolled if a seat opens. After this date, waitlists are closed.
June 2-4 S1 - Enrollment during this period is by permission number only.
June 2 S1 - Last day for students to be administratively dropped from S1 courses due to missing course requirements or non-attendance. (11:59 p.m. deadline).
June 2 T1 - End of Waitlists. This is the last day a student can remain on the waitlist and be auto-enrolled if a seat opens. After this date, waitlists are closed.
June 3-6 T1 - Enrollment during this period is by permission number only.
June 4 T1 - Last day for students to be administratively dropped from T1 courses due to missing course requirements or non-attendance (11:59 p.m. deadline).
June 4 S1 - Schedule Adjustment Deadline - Last day for students to add, drop, or change grading basis (11:59 p.m. deadline).
June 6 T1 - Schedule Adjustment Deadline - Last day for students to add, drop, or change grading basis (11:59 p.m. deadline).
June 6 T1/S1 - Last day to opt-out of Day1Ready or Immediate Access for online course materials.
June 9 S3 - First day of S3 classes. If a seat becomes available, students on the waitlist will be added automatically until the schedule adjustment deadline.
June 10 S3 - Last day for students to be administratively dropped from S3 courses due to missing course requirements or non-attendance (11:59 p.m. deadline).
June 11 S3 - Schedule Adjustment Deadline - Last day for students to add, drop, or change grading basis (11:59 p.m. deadline).
June 11 S3 - Last day to opt-out of Day1Ready or Immediate Access for online course materials.
June 19 Holiday—Juneteenth. Faculty/staff holiday. Campus closed.
June 23 S4 - First day of S4 classes. If a seat becomes available, students on the waitlist will be added automatically.
June 26 S4 - End of Waitlists. This is the last day a student can remain on the waitlist and be auto-enrolled if a seat opens. After this date, waitlists are closed.
June 27-July 1 S4 - Enrollment during this period is by permission number only.
June 27 S4 - Last day for students to be administratively dropped from S4 courses due to missing course requirements or non-attendance (11:59 p.m. deadline).
June 27 Thesis submission strict 3:45 p.m. deadline: Final day for submitting thesis with the processing fee to Montezuma Publishing for thesis review to have the best likelihood for graduation in summer 2025.
June 28 S1/S3 - Last day to submit a Petition for Late Schedule Adjustment for summer 2025.
June 30 S2 - Last day to withdraw from all classes.
July
July 1 S4 - Schedule Adjustment Deadline - Last day for students to add, drop, or change grading basis (11:59 p.m. deadline).
July 1 S4 - Last day to opt-out of Day1Ready or Immediate Access for online course materials.
July 3 S1/S3 - Last day of classes. (Final exams are the last day of classes for each summer session.)
July 4 Holiday—Independence Day. Faculty/staff holiday. Campus closed.
July 6 S1/S3 - Grades due from instructors (11 p.m. deadline).
July 8 S2 - First day of S2 classes. If a seat becomes available, students on the waitlist will be added automatically.

July 16 S2 - Schedule Adjustment Deadline - Last day for students to add, drop, or change grading basis (11:59 p.m. deadline).
July 16 S2 - Last day to opt-out of Day1Ready or Immediate Access for online course materials.
July 17 Tuition and Fees due for enrollments in all Summer sessions (S1, S2, S3, S4, and T1). Review the Payment Due Dates information on the Bursar's website.
July 21 Census.
July 24 Late Fee added for unpaid Tuition and Fees in all Summer sessions (S1, S2, S3, S4, and T1).
August
August 8 Last day for reporting results on comprehensive examinations to the College of Graduate Studies by department or college.
August 9 T1/S2/S4 - Last day to submit a Petition for Late Schedule Adjustment for summer 2025.
August 14 Last day for submission of incomplete and RP grade removals (excluding thesis) for August 2025 graduation with an advanced degree.
August 15 Thesis publication strict 3:45 p.m. deadline: Thesis review process, including publishing, must be completed on this date at Montezuma Publishing. Applicants for graduation missing the final deadline will be automatically evaluated for graduation in future terms.
August 15 T1/S2/S4 - Last day of classes. (Final exams are the last day of classes for each summer session.)
August 19 Avoid reenrollment in 799B strict 3:45 p.m. deadline: Final day to submit thesis with the processing fee to Montezuma Publishing for thesis review without having to enroll in Thesis 799B the following semester.
August 19 T1/S2/S4 - Grades due from instructors. (11 p.m. deadline.)
August 19 Last day of summer term.
