Spring 2025 Registration Timeline. All dates are listed in detail below.

October
October 1, 2024 Spring 2025 enrollment appointments available in my.SDSU. Students can begin adding courses to their shopping cart. Review How Do I View My Registration Window? to learn more.
October 1, 2024 File the FAFSA or CA Dream Act Application.
November
November (TBD) Spring 2025 basic tuition and fee payments accepted.
November 6, 2024 Spring 2025 registration begins.
November 6, 2024 Application available for spring or summer 2025 graduation with a bachelor's degree or advanced degree in my.SDSU. For more information, visit Application for Graduation.
December
December 24-27, 2024 Holiday—Winter recess. Faculty/staff holiday. Campus closed.
January
January 1 Holiday—New Year's Day. Faculty/staff holiday. Campus closed.
January 12 Basic tuition and fees, non-resident tuition, and professional programs fees due for the spring 2024 semester.
January 14 Maximum undergraduate registration units for spring 2025 increases from 18 units to 21 units. Students requesting to enroll in more than 21 units must receive approval from their academic advisor.
January 16 First day of spring semester.
January 20 Holiday—Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Faculty/staff holiday. Campus closed.
January 20 Last day to officially withdraw for the spring 2025 semester and receive a full refund.
January 21 First Day of Classes.
January 21 Beginning on the first day of classes, refunds for withdrawals will be prorated based on the percentage of the term completed.
January 21 Students enrolling beginning on the first day of classes will be charged a late registration fee.
January 27 Last day of waitlist auto-enrollment. After this date, students must contact the course instructor for a permission number in order to enroll.
January 28-February 3 Enrollment during this period is by permission number only. Enrollment in open seats is not automatic or guaranteed.
January 30 Administrative drop deadline. Last day students may be administratively dropped for non-attendance or lack of required course prerequisites.
February
February 3 Last day to file petition for concurrent graduate credit for spring semester 2025.
February 3 Last day to file Application for Graduation for bachelor's or advanced degree for spring or summer 2025 graduation.
February 3 Schedule adjustment deadline. Last day for students to add or drop courses in my.SDSU or submit a request for the credit/no credit grading option in classes that qualify (11:59 p.m. deadline).
February 3 Last day to opt-out of Immediate Access or Equitable Access for online course materials (if applicable).
February 17 Last day to submit a Petition for Late Schedule Adjustment for course withdrawal without a "W" on the transcript.
February 17 Census.
March
March 2 Cal Grant and California Middle Class Scholarship deadline. For new undergraduate admits who want to be considered for a Cal Grant and all undergraduate students who want to be considered for a California Middle Class Scholarship, be sure to file the FAFSA or CADAA by March 2, 2025.
March 19 Last day to officially withdraw from all classes for spring 2025 and receive a prorated refund (withdrawal after January 30 requires special approval and a penalty fee is assessed).
March 28 Thesis submission deadline (3:45 p.m.): final day to submit thesis for review, with the processing fee, to Montezuma Publishing to have the best likelihood for graduation in spring 2025.
March 31 Holiday—Cesar Chavez Day. Faculty/staff holiday. Campus closed.
March 31-April 4 Spring recess.
May
May 8 Last day to submit a spring 2025 Petition for Late Schedule Adjustment.
May 8 Last day of classes before final examinations.
May 8 Last day for reporting results on comprehensive examinations to the College of Graduate Studies by department or college.
May 9-15 Final examinations.
May 15 Commencement, Imperial Valley Campus.
May 16-18 Commencement, San Diego Campus.
May 16 Thesis Publication Deadline: thesis review process, including publishing, must be completed by 3:45 p.m. on this date at Montezuma Publishing to meet graduation requirement. Students missing the final deadline will be evaluated for graduation in the upcoming semester.
May 16 Last day for submission of incomplete and RP grade removals (excluding thesis) for May 2025 graduation with an advanced degree.
May 22 Avoid re-enrollment in 799B: final day, by 3:45 p.m., to submit thesis with processing fee to Montezuma Publishing without having to enroll in thesis 799B the following semester.
May 22 Grades due from instructors, 11 p.m. deadline.
May 22 Last day of spring semester.
