Electronic Transcripts

San Diego State University has partnered with Parchment, Inc. to deliver secure, certified electronic transcripts to the intended recipient. Learn more about ordering transcripts.

How to Authenticate a PDF Transcript

Official PDF transcripts from SDSU are digitally signed and therefore contain special characteristics. If the PDF is viewed using Adobe Acrobat version 6.0 or greater, or Adobe Reader version 6.04 or greater, it will reveal a digital certificate that has been applied to the transcript. This digital certificate will appear in a pop-up screen or status bar on the document, display a blue ribbon, and declare that the document was certified by San Diego State University with a valid certificate issued by GeoTrust CA for Adobe. This document certification can be validated by selecting the Signature Properties of the document.

Tip for Recipients

Do you frequently receive transcripts from Parchment partners (not just SDSU)? If so, consider registering for a Parchment account from the "Step 3: Download" screen. This viewing account allows you to view transcripts without the extra step of a pass code. It also allows you to view all the transcripts sent to you in the past.

Sending Electronic Transcripts to San Diego State University

If a selection menu is not available or San Diego State University is not on the selection menu, then transcripts can be sent to the following email address: [email protected]. SDSU will not accept transcripts that are emailed by the student.
