| July 5–August 21 | At Risk: Theses may be submitted to Montezuma Publishing on an at-risk basis. However, August (summer) 2017 graduation is contingent upon review approval and completion of final publishing by noon on August 14. Students missing the publishing deadline will be required to reapply for graduation for the term in which they expect to graduate. |
| July 10 | Fall 2017 registration begins. |
| July 13–July 31 | New Student Orientation for freshmen and parents (held at SDSU). |

| August 27 | Last day to pay basic tuition and fees without penalty. |
| August 28 | Basic tuition and fee Payments accepted with a late fee. |
| August 28 | First Day of Classes. Faculty can begin to add seats from class section wait lists. If a seat becomes available, students on the wait list will be added automatically. Faculty can select the number of students to be added to each course section through the class rosters available in the SDSU WebPortal. |
