February
Mid-February Summer financial aid fee postponements available on AidLink (on the Summer tab) and viewable on the SDSU WebPortal.
February 21 Personal summer 2022 registration information and the My Planner tool available in the SDSU WebPortal.
February 21 Payments of tuition and fees accepted for Six Week Summer Session 1 (S1), Thirteen Week Summer Session (T1), and Six Week Summer Session 2 (S2).
March
March 1 Summer 2022 registration begins.
May
May 2 Applications available for December 2022 graduation with a bachelor's degree or advanced degree. For more information visit the Apply to Graduate web page.
May 20–23 Summer 2022 registration closed to verify contingent enrollments.
May 23 S1/T1 - Last day to pay tuition and fees without penalty.
May 23 S1/T1 - Last day to withdraw from all classes and receive a full refund of tuition and fees.
May 24 Summer 2022 Registration re-opens.
May 24 S1/T1 - First day of summer term. First day of S1 and T1 classes. Faculty begin to add from wait list for S1 and T1. If a seat becomes available, students on the wait list will be added automatically. Faculty can select the number of students to be added to each course section through the class rosters available in the SDSU WebPortal.
May 24 S1/T1 - Basic Tuition and Fee payments accepted with a late fee.
May 24 S1/T1 - Beginning on the First Day of Class, refunds for withdrawals will be prorated based on the percentage of the term completed.
May 25 Voter Registration for Special General Election.
May 26 S1 - Last day of wait list auto-enrollment. Faculty control adding seats from the wait list after this date. Students will not be automatically enrolled unless faculty add the seats from their wait lists, even if a seat becomes available.
May 27 S1 - Last day for faculty to drop students from classes for session (11:59 p.m. deadline).
May 30 Holiday—Memorial Day. Faculty/staff holiday. Campus closed.
May 31 T1 - Last day of wait list auto-enrollment. Faculty control adding seats from the wait list after this date. Students will not be automatically enrolled unless faculty add the seats from their wait lists, even if a seat becomes available.
June
June 2 T1 - Last day for faculty to drop students from classes for session (11:59 p.m. deadline).
June 2 S1 - Schedule Adjustment Deadline - Last day for students to add, drop, or change grading basis (7:59 p.m. deadline). Last day for faculty to add from their wait list. Last day to pay tuition and fees for S1.
June 6 T1 - Schedule Adjustment Deadline - Last day for students to add, drop, or change grading basis (7:59 p.m. deadline). Last day for faculty to add from their wait list. Last day to pay tuition and fees for T1.
June 6 S1/T1 - Last day to opt-out of Immediate Access for online course materials.
June 8 Special General Election.
June 18 S1 - Last day to receive a prorated refund.
June 24 Thesis submission strict 3:45 p.m. deadline: Final day for submitting thesis with the processing fee to Montezuma Publishing for thesis review to have the best likelihood for graduation in summer 2022.
July
July 1 S1 - Last day of classes. (Final exams are the last day of classes for each summer session.)
July 4 Holiday—Independence Day (observed). Faculty/staff holiday. Campus closed.
July 4 S2 - Last day to pay tuition and fees without penalty.
July 4 S2 - Last day to withdraw from all classes and receive a full refund of tuition and fees.
July 5 S2 - First day of S2 classes. Faculty begin to add from wait lists for S2. If a seat becomes available, students on the wait list will be added automatically. July 12 S2 - Last day to opt-out of Immediate Access for online course materials.
July 13 T1 - Last day to receive a prorated refund.
July 18 Census.
July 30 S2 - Last day to receive a prorated refund.
August
August 5 Last day for reporting results on comprehensive examinations to the College of Graduate Studies by department or college.
August 12 Thesis publication strict 3:45 p.m. deadline: Thesis review process, including publishing, must be completed on this date at Montezuma Publishing. Applicants for graduation missing the final deadline will be automatically evaluated for graduation in future terms.
August 12 T1/S2 - Last day of classes. (Final exams are the last day of classes for each summer session.) Last day to submit a Petition for Late Schedule Adjustment for Summer 2021.
August 17 Last day for submission of incomplete and RP grade removals (excluding thesis) for August 2022 graduation with an advanced degree.
August 17 Avoid reenrollment in 799B strict 3:45 p.m. deadline: Final day to submit thesis with the processing fee to Montezuma Publishing for thesis review without having to enroll in Thesis 799B the following semester.
August 17 T1/S2 - Grades due from instructors. (11 p.m. deadline.) Last day of summer term.
