Spring 2021 Partial or Fully In-person Classes

Information regarding SDSU's response to COVID-19 can be found on SDSU's COVID-19 web page.

Please visit Enrollment Services COVID-19 Updates for more information about updates to academic policies, requirements, and processes.

For Spring 2021, the majority of courses will be offered via virtual modalities, as aligned with the California State University (CSU) system, and through a campus-wide model and plan, called SDSU Flex.

Per the CSU Chancellor Office's (CO) approval, a limited number of courses that cannot be fully delivered virtually will be delivered partially or fully in-person. This will be done with rigorous standards of safety and welfare. View the classes offered by your college to see which courses will be partially or fully offered in-person during the Spring 2021 semester.*

For these in-person classes, instruction in January and February, beginning with the first day of classes on January 20, will be held virtually while required testing is conducted for students in in-person courses. This delayed start of the in-person elements of instruction will allow us to implement an extensive re-entry plan for students. This is an important effort that will follow a projected peak high of COVID-19 cases into the new year.

In-person instruction components for these approved courses were scheduled to begin on February 3 but will now resume on March 1. Students with questions about course offerings and requirements should be in contact with their faculty members.

No classes will be offered in a partial or fully in-person environment. All classes will be offered via virtual modalities.
